Every now and again the art of cleaning out that closet clutter
is a necessity that we often forget. Out with the old and in with the
new is an expression that we have all heard from time to time. Cleansing
of the soul, cleansing of the mind so how about cleansing of your
stuff?
How many things do we need to feel satisfied and safe? Empty plate syndrome is a term I recently heard which I love.
How about our weight? Often those of us that fight the battle of the bulge, are eating out of depression or a feeling of being out of control emotionally. The need to fill our bellies constantly goes along with needing to fill our homes and draws with items not needed. Fitness equipment purchased at 3:00 in the morning during a sleepless night, calls to us from the screen; "buy me, buy me!" Now, I don't know about you, but more often than not the exercise equipment I have purchased in the past does not take long to make it as a member of the closet clutter club. There it is in its glory, all decorated with hanging night gowns and robes and all dusted up with scarves that won't stay on those slippery plastic hangers.
Taking that first step and cleaning out one draw may feeling as motivating as taking that first step on a treadmill for a walk or run. It may feel as satisfying as starting an elliptical or spinning regime. it may feel as lithe as changing from over eating, to a portion control meal plan, allowing for a feeling of a slimmer waist line.
I say no more closet clutter. Turn on that music and make exercise fun and entertaining. Singing along as you work can also assist your aerobic breathing. Come on and join me as I do the same.
Help me motivate myself as I motivate you to change old habits of clutter in your mind and in your space.
Stay well and as always, never stop moving!
