Mint, scientifically known as Mentha is most popularly used as a mouth freshener. All most all the toothpaste use mint in their preparation. It has more than 100 of variety and two dozen of species. This herb is used for more than a decade. A large range of products is available in the market today. Mouth freshener, chewing gum, candy, toothpaste, inhalers, etc. use mint as its base ingredient.

Skin care and pimples: A very useful element is the mint oil to cure skin acne, pimples and infections. A very useful antiseptic and anti-Puritan element, its juice can be used as the best skin cleanser. Some branches of fresh mint if kept in flower vase at your living room keeps away flies and is the best and inexpensive room freshener.

A bed of mint plant grown in your garden or flower pots around windows can keep away the pests entering your living place and keep the whole environment fresh and clean.
